Clomid & miscarriage - please help

After 13 months of trying, we had success after our first cycle of Clomid 50mg. I found out last Friday. Yesterday, I started having dark brown discharge; had a quant hcg done with a level of 27 at 4w+5d 😔. Today, started bleeding as I would on a period- no major clots yet. I know what is happening. I’ll go in tomorrow for another hcg to watch the levels go down. 🥺. What I’m wondering is a) is there anything I should be asking for diagnostically at this point (hormone levels, US, HSG, etc? Or is it just that miscarriages are so common- you just try again? And b) can anyone share experience of a miscarriage with Clomid/letrozole and what has happened after? (Success stories? 🤞🏻).

I’m heartbroken but I want to know there’s light at the end of this awful tunnel.
