My MIL likes to tell me that I should put a sweater on my baby or shield his eyes or how to hold him. I played along for a while because she does it to feel included but it’s starting to annoy me. I would like to tell her, “M, I appreciate the help but it’s starting to feel like micromanaging”. Is that mean? How would you ask her to stop? Or should I just let her do it? She’s pretty opinionated and aggressive about it so I don’t want her control to get out of hand which is why I think now is a good time to set a few boundaries with her.
