I've been having heart palpitations no more than once a day for a few months now. I casually mentioned it at my last appointment and she told me to start tracking my heart rate and to call if it started happening more frequently.

Monday I felt like I couldn't catch my breath and was dizzy most of the day at work. Then Tuesday it was like every 20 minutes my heart was racing and in was so light-headed and seeing spots that I spent as much time as I could sitting down at work but that doesn't really work for what my job. I called the clinic and the doctor finally called me around 5 to tell me she needs me to get a heart monitor for 24 hours and I can't go back to work until it's put on. Honestly I was more upset that I had to miss at least a day of work than anything.

Has anyone had to do this? Any ideas what they are checking for?
