How did you deliver your twins/multiples?

Just curious on how your little ones decided to come? I’ve been doing a lot of research on the delivery process and the medications, and everyone I know says get the Epidural! But I almost feel selfish and would take it hard if anything major happened to them due to me getting the Epidural. I know the research says a lot of the effects on the baby are a 12% chance, but still somebody’s babies were in that 12% group. Anyway I’m trying to plan but I also know that anything can happen and I could ultimately end of having a C-Section, even though I’m planning for a natural, but still it’s good to be hopeful.

People who say, “get the drugs,” haven’t done it unmedicated and it shows. They don’t understand what they missed out on. We were made to do this and people have twins naturally all the time; at home even.
Without drugs, the whole experience is better. You can get up and walk instantly, nursing is smoother, the bond is more intense, the high is indescribable and your post partum time is usually much better. 
We aren’t designed to push babies out lying on our backs. Epidural leads to so many interventions and risks. All I’m saying is do your research. OB’s aren’t trained to handle breech birth, unlike midwives who KNOW birth. Twins aren’t always an emergency.

I had an epidural and gave birth vaginally to both boys :) they were both head down (thankfully) but my doctor said that they were 100% fine delivering a breech baby. I did had some pain where the epidural was placed that lasted for a few months 😬 but it was a slight ache. And it did go away. My recovery was amazing. I didn't tear at all. I really believe that my epidural helped me to enjoy my birth to the max. I had a great birth of both babies. The doctors said that I was a natural at pushing 😅. Anyways, I just don't think we should shame someone for having a medicated delivery vs unmedicated. Just like we shouldn't shame anyone for C-section vs vaginal. All that matters is that mom and babies are healthy.

I’ve been stressing about this so much honestly. Nothing about this pregnancy is routine for me, and I’m having a hard time not being able to know what to expect! I delivered my daughter (5 years ago) completely natural, no drugs. It was an AMAZING experience. It was hard but so worth it and I knew going in to future pregnancies, I’d always make that choice. However, this one is twins and I just don’t know whah to expect. I go see a specialist in a few weeks that works with the “other” hospital I may have to deliver at. My local hospital has a level 1 nursery, so if the babies are too early or they suspect any complications, I’ll automatically be sent to the hospital they partnered with. Which is fine. It just adds to more uncertainty. I’d rather have a vaginal birth because even the though of a csection terrifies me. I’ve done vaginal and know I can! But I don’t think my doctor is okay with delivering 1 baby breech, so my chances are definitely down. I will be speaking to the specialist when I go so I can find out what they prefer to do. I’m just so nervous.
