Period after giving birth

So I had my normal period about 5 weeks after delivering my son in February. I’ve gotten a “period” each month since then but it has changed so much. I have the same horrible cramps but my period is SO much lighter than it ever was. Wondering if this was the case for anyone else? I know it’s still early postpartum and can still change but I thought it’d be the opposite and be heavier. Just want to know others experiences!
