No fetal pole or heart beat at 6 weeks?

I went to the er for cramping and light bleeding and they said they weren’t able to see a fetal pole or heart beat yet. My levels went from 8324 to 19304 in 48 hours. Is it normal to not see the fetal pole or heart beat yet? I have another appointment Monday just super nervous. The bleeding has stopped and the cramps and very minor at this point. Any success stories about something similar to this?

Yes. I went in at 6 weeks for bleeding and had no fetal pole. The OB was horrible and said I was miscarrying. Even offered me meds to speed it along. I refused and went to a different clinic 4 days later for a second opinion. She did an ultrasound and immediately saw and heard a heartbeat. It’s sometimes to too early to see a heartbeat at 6 weeks. Sometimes you don’t see it until 8 weeks. My bleeding was due to a subchorionic hemorrhage, which I also had with my first pregnancy.
