Period Underwear

Okay, so I already use a menstrual cup, but I still want a backup. I currently use pads or liners, but I want to be able to completely stop using disposables. My birthday is coming up, and I'm planning on asking for some period underwear. I know that's kind of weird, but it's a good time to ask. Anyways, I think I want the brand Bambody. I've looked and people say that they're pretty good. If anyone has tried them, I wanna know if they are good. Also, I have considered Thinx and Modibodi, but they're just to expensive in my opinion. I want a more affordable option, especially when I'm going to buy quite a few pairs.
