Anyone having difficulty getting spouse to consider names?

Question

I am 27w 4 days with a baby boy. I have had a list of names that I like printed out for weeks and have asked my husband to go over them with me to narrow down names. He has not yet looked at it. He also mentioned that some other girl he works with mentioned having a name picked out but changed it once their baby was born. It’s like he thinks we are just going to come up with a name from thin air when the baby is born. I am frustrated and I don’t really care what his co-worker did, it’s like why are you listening to some random over your wife. Not to mention they obviously had gone over names since that had one picked. Any suggestions to get him to finally pick some names? I feel like he is putting it off so we won’t have any choice but to name the baby after him, which I have already said no to. I don’t want my baby to be a third (he is a junior). I also don’t want it to be a fight over the name. 😩

Your husband doesn’t. 
When baby is born, you just stand your ground and say “well, since you didn’t bother, you have 2 choices”. And then give him your top 2.

Have a list of names that *you* would definitely like. Make it short, like your top 2 or 3 picks or whatever.
Keep offering it to him from time to time, and talking about the names occasionally to keep them in the back of his brain. If there’s one you start to prefer, mention that one more often and put it at the top of the list. Talk to your bump using the names and if he looks at you funny just say serenely ‘just practicing to see what fits’.
If he starts to get interested in names, great! If not, then
When baby is born, give your husband the 2-3 options and get him to pick one. If he really doesn’t mind, then name the kid what you want, give your husbands name as the middle name (if it’s important to him to have it there) and boom done. 🤞🏻😅

I made it into a MANDITORY game. I wrote each name on a index card and gave him 3 at a time and he has to either pick a favorite or eliminate one. We ended up with a top 5 but I knew my favorite so i kept calling baby that name and now hes like "i thought we already had a name picked out" and it's the one i keep calling her. Lol maybe my man is just more flexible.

Why are men like this!!? I thought it was just mine and I wanted to punch him in the nose everytime we discussed baby boy names for my son. He was so ugh about them. It was an argument every time. He would criticize every name I had on my list and was determined to have our son be “the 3rd”. I was not having it. 
We went to the hospital without a name we both agreed on but at the end we both settled down and chose a fitting name. But I swear I’ve never wanted to fight this man until it came to picking our child’s name.

My husband was like this too. I had a list of like 60 names for both genders and we made a deal where every Friday, I got to tell him 10-15 names and he’d tell me yes or no. By the time we had gone thru all of them, he got more into it so then we each picked our top five names from all the yes names and then compared.

My husband was/is this way, and I’ve basically named our babies all by myself. The first time around I was sad about it, but then I liked that I got to choose what I felt in my soul was the right names for them. He isn’t as big into names as I am, and we would have settled on names that didn’t feel right if I would have waited for him to finally give me ideas. He hasn’t complained once about their names nor is he bothered that he didn’t get to choose. Some guys are just this way. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Ee narrow it down to 2 names. But have been stock on it for a few weeks 😓 there more time passes I like it one more but is like he is not really worried and said we have enough time time. I am 12w5d today. And yes, we do. But we want to announce to our families with the name since my FIL has been really vocal about having our baby be the 3rd of his name and nor my husband and I want that... but he can’t just decide
