My heart is complete
My rainbow baby boy is finally here. On the 14th I had my weekly appointment to see how things were going. My blood pressure was through the roof and my OBGYN was not comfortable with that. The last few weeks my blood pressure had been high but normally would go down to something tolerable. This time it didn't. My obgyn sent me over to labor and delivery and I was set to be induced. I had to get a magnesium drip because my blood pressure refused to go down even with blood pressure meds. So my whole birth plan went out the window. I did four dosages of cytotec to finish thinning out my cervix. The last dosage was given sometime in the early hours of the 15th. After that the nurse inserted a Foley bulb to get me dilated to 4cm along with a small dosage of pitocin. Now somewhere in between that I swear the contractions started coming in crazy. I kept refusing an epidural because I wanted to try natural as much as possible. I got the epidural but apparently I was pretty close to where I wouldn't have been able to get it. I do remember telling my husband to "shut the fuck up!" At one point because he said something smart 😂. I got the epidural and I went from 5cm to 9cm in about 45 minutes. Then we had some complications. I'd lay on my side and baby boys heartrate would drop then spike but my doctor was able to get him situated. Then before I knew it, it was time to push. The one thing I wanted more than anything was to be able to assist bringing my baby into this world and I was able to do that. About ten minutes of pushing and he was here. I'm so in love and I'd like to think my two angel babies in heaven were watching over him and I am so grateful for my doctor. I'M A MOMMY GUYS!!
