So I’ve been doing the sign for eat with my LO on and off for most of his life. Yesterday and today when he was away from me (not in my arms to where he could pull at my shirt or root) he seemed like he was trying to do the sign for eat. He had his hand open and hit his thumb onto his mouth and he looked directly at me. So I did the sign said eat, do you want to eat? Then picked him up and he nuzzled right in to eat. So out of curiosity I looked up when babies are capable of signing. What I read said that babies don’t even understand the signs until 6 months. Now I swear this child did the sign, but he’s only 4 months. Am I just being too hopeful? Lol
