Has Lorelai shaken the Gilmore Girls association yet?

I really like Lorelai, especially this spelling because I'm thinking of Lola as a nickname. However I'm nervous that everyone will constantly say "oh I love Gilmore Girls!" every time we introduce her. I was never a fan of the show really so I'd rather not have people assume that's who she's named after. 🙄

If you love the name, go for it. People will always assume/ask where/why you picked any name. You’ll be able to be clear why you chose this one!

It’s a pretty name but unfortunately for me it does remind me of Gilmore girls! But it’s no different then naming son/daughter Rory, Luke, or other names. There will always be an association with any name you pick no matter how popular/unpopular it is.

I’d definitely use that name! Men wouldn’t recognize it and that’s already like half and lots of people haven’t watched Gilmore Girls and it’s old. It’s a pretty name!!

Not a fan of the Gilmore girls. I’d do a pol on here if who actually knows who the Gilmore girls are. I bet it’s hardly anyone. Also I LOVE the name too. I hope you don’t get put off enough to not call your child this boys beautiful ❤️
