How did you get diagnosed with PCOS?

I’m making an appointment to see the gynecologist to see if I have PCOS because I have every symptom except infertility, how did you get diagnosed and what was the process? Thanks 😀

For mei had every symptom except irregular periods. I did routine fertility testing and an ultrasound. My bloodwork was good and my bbt charts look good too I just wasn’t ovulating. The ultrasound confirmed my doctors suspicions.

No period for 11 months, had one period and doctor wouldn't discuss it. Went another year without a period and finally doctor referred for ultrasound. Transvaginal ultrasound showed cysts on ovaries, with all the other symptoms diagnosis was pcos. My journey wasn't that difficult just quite long.

The process is honestly a pain in the ass because it has more to so then just what a obgyn takes care of. I had to see other doctors in different fields but didnt even get as far as i needed too because you have to be cleared and referred to each doctor. Some obgyns have access to clear you for a bunch of blood work but after like a year and half for me i still didnt get to the endocrinologist. Hopefully you have better luck!
