Conceiving naturally vs. IVF

Hey ladies!

I am one month post op from a lap surgery that diagnosed my endo. Not sure what stage I’m considered but my fertility specialist who did my surgery told me I could never conceive on my own. He found it covering organs in my pelvis as well as my liver and diaphragm. He did try and clean it out of my tubes and ran dye through them.

He recommends I go straight to IVF this summer but i just need more opinions on this. I feel like we should at least try naturally since I’m fresh out of surgery.

Please share your stories or advice!

And if you did conceive naturally is there a supplement or diet change you recommend??

Someone on here recommended I look at Nancy's Nook on FB for a list of specialist in excision of endometriosis. I am scheduling surgery with one of them. Excision has far better outcomes (pain and pregnancy) than ablation. Unfortunately, most doctors do ablation. I'd take a look at that page and the list of doctors. It might be another option to see one of them. Best wishes with whatever decision you make!

I do follow that page and have thought about excision first. After just having my lap I’m not ready to go through another surgery and recovery.

I was told the same with stage 4 endo. 2 weeks before starting IVF I found out I was already pregnant!

I was recommended the same thing. I did conceive naturally twice after my diagnosis but miscarried both times. We are moving forward with IUI first before jumping to IVF. All our hopes are IUI can solve some other issues and get me to carry to term.
