My son is almost 2 and still refuses to talk. He literally only says no, otro (like saying another one in Spanish), he signs more when he wants more of something and he says dada and mama. He is speech delayed and was supposed to go into speech therapy but was put off due to the virus and quarantine. He also was learning to speak around a year old but began to get sick regularly and he began to get delayed. Just wanted to know everyone else's experience. I feel bad because I dont understand what he wants sometimes and my husbands family likes to judge and compare my son to another baby of the family that speaks more and clearly. I try not to pressure my son and just let him be, I will speak to him, tell him what I am doing, we will read books and point out things for him and repeat the words but still he makes no attempt at speaking.
