On Friday 15th May 11pm my water started to bring tiny trickles nothing much I called triage at my local hospital they asked me to come down to confirm it was my waters .. it was definitely my waters so they kept me in to see if I would go into labour naturally in 24 hours if not I would be out on a drip to start my contractions my husband wasn’t allowed until I was in the delivery suite to reduce all risks with covid19 ... 24hours hours later 11pm no contractions atall labour and delivery was really busy and had planned to take a couple more urgent cases down before me so they kept me monitored me in antenatal... I went to sleep I woke up at 1:30 am with contractions I went out my room to get the midwife I told her I needed some pain relief and to be checked I was 6cm dilated they rushed me down to delivery I phoned my husband straight away told him to get down I was 6cm already thankfully we live 15 mins away on a clear run from the hospital.. plus my husband’s crazy driving 🤣 ... I got down to delivery got some gas and air my husband got there for around 2am .. my son was then born at 2:59 1&half hour intense labour natural vaginal delivery using only gas & air. I had a second degree tear and stitches feeling like I’m recovering so much better than with my first
