Home vs Center
My daughter was born Nov 2016 in the hospital, however I had a 100% natural hands off water birth.
We now live elsewhere, and that’s not an option. I completely prepared myself for a home birth all on our own. My parents, and my L&D nurse sister have gotten in my head about it a little bit and have agreed to help pay for the birthing center.
I’m being so stubborn about it.
At first, after touring and going over financials I was crying bc the birth center just wasn’t going to fit into our budget the way we wanted.
Now, I have this image in my head of me being a bad ass delivering our son in a pool in our living room, not at the birthing center.
However, I love the prenatal and post partum care that the birthing center provides.
This is so silly but their tubs are in the corner of the room and it just makes me uncomfortable. I want to be in the center of the room.
Any input from home & center birthing mamas?
The birth center is $5k out of pocket. Which I don’t even want anyone to help us with, but everyone’s telling me to just accept the offers.
