Went in for an induction on 5/17/20 at 2pm (gestational diabetes). Pitocin was administered at 3pm after my husband’s arrival. I was already 2cm dilated and having mild contractions every 3-5 minutes and this intensified slightly after pitocin. Midwife came in to break my water at 5ish and the the contractions skyrocketed! Went from 2cm to 8cm in one hour. Within the next hour I was ready to push. I don’t know what time I started pushing (felt like forever)...but I listened to my Midwife and did as she instructed (less screaming more pushing 😂). After some assistance from a nurse to help me get those shoulders through (almost sent me through the roof 😖😓) baby Amariah Grace was born at 7:32pm weighing a whopping 9.5lbs as my ultrasound detected.
This is my 5th baby with my husband and one I won’t forget. I enjoyed the journey and am blessed to have been able to deliver all my babies natural but this is it! No more babies!
She was born on the same day as her 5yr old big brother 🥰
Good luck mommy’s and wishing you all a safe and healthy pregnancy and delivery! And remember every pregnancy is different so just go with the flow!
