Meg
Yesterday I was going trough old photos in my phone and this one stopped me. It was taken in June of 2019 at one of our favorite restaurants here in Austin (love you @thaifresh). What struck me about it was that Ruby and I were there just there the other day picking up food from that picnic table picture behind us - It was placed there by an employee in a mask and gloves. When this pic was taken We had no idea how different things would be in the course of less than a year. ⁣ ⁣ But that got me thinking about all the good things too. All the things I had no idea that would occur in less than a year, even mere months from when this pic was taken.⁣ ⁣ When this pic was taken: ⁣ ⁣ ❤️ Neither me nor Ruby had the slightest inkling that in less than a year she’d be a big sis (baby coming any day now!) ⁣ ⁣ ❤️ I had no idea that in just a few months I’d be hosting a sold out retreat with my pal⁣ @lauranakuhlman ⁣ ❤️ I had no clue that I’d create and launch a mega successful online challenge (which took me less than a week to create!)⁣ ⁣ ❤️ I had no idea that I’d be asked to start teaching at a wonderful kundalini yoga studio, @shuniyayogacollective ⁣ ❤️ I had no idea that I’d be signing up and taking @khalsaway yoga teacher training in just a few months and that my life would be for ever changed⁣ ⁣ Our default can be to obsess about imagined fears coming true. We can easily create scenes in our minds that stress us out or overwhelm us with anxiety or despair. But the point I’m trying to make here is that there are also so many amazing things that you have absolutely no idea are in store for you.⁣ ⁣ Today, just for fun, go back and look at a picture of yourself from about a year ago. Try to think of one wonderful thing that’s occurred in your life since that pic was taken - something you had no idea was coming. How cool is it that we don’t have to be in control of every single outcome? Sometimes, many times in fact, the Universe answers our calls in ways that we could never have foreseen. During this time, perhaps we can find solace in that - in the thought that there is something unimaginably good that will come from this. ⁣ ⁣ Wishing you all a lovely Sunday 💕
