Did He Cheat?

Question

I went to the doctor and got tested for hpv and tested positive. I only been with my husband my entire sexual life. I had a false positive when we first got together. Then after I tested negative and now this. I told my husband he claims he never gave me anything. And if I got something, it is because I must have done something with someone else.
But I never been outside our relationship. Has anyone else been in this situation?
I had my pap smear done and had to go for a second look and they told me I had it and removed the cells. I forgot what the test was called. 
My husband was my only sexual relationship. So how could I be a carrier? It is possible, he is a carrier. He wants to take a test but there is no test for men. 
Ok. He is convinced he does not have it though. And wants to be tested for it. I told him there is no test for men and he believes the doctor made a mistake. If he has it, how can it clear from his body?  Will I test positive again?

That false positive wasn’t really a false positive . With hpv you can test positive to negative and back and forth. I’ve had high strain hpv since I was 16 and I’ve tested back all forth for 14 years now 🤷🏻‍♀️does not mean he cheated 🤷🏻‍♀️

Was he a virgin before he met you?? If he had another sexual partner before you then he may have gotten it then. It’s one of those things that remains undectected for years.

hpv is so common and most people don’t know they have it or where they got it. honestly i wouldn’t jump to cheating conclusions.

He may have had it prior to you but didn’t have an active outbreak until recently, thus exposing you. You can go YEARS without even knowing you have an std because you don’t have an outbreak.

HPV doesnt mean he or you cheated. Men dont show signs of HPV and dont ever know they have it. So he may have had it from a prior partner and didnt know it and gave it to you

Nope! Doesn’t mean he cheated at all!!! I tested positive for HPV, 3 years ago for the first time. I’m 34yo. It upset me because I had only been with my husband (now ex husband) and one other person since him. My ex and I had been together since 2005 and divorced in 2013. I tested positive in 2017. I had only been with 1 other person in that time frame. I felt awful because I was sure that second person gave it to me! Turns out, I could have gotten it from my ex husband on our first sexual encounter in 2005! My dr told me it can lie dormant for years before you test positive. I tested positive in 2017. Then negative in 2018 & 2019. This year it was positive again. I have the kind that produces cancerous cells? Whatever that means. I didn’t know there was more than one kind, lol. Don’t let it bother you though. I was also told by my dr that 8/10 ppl have HPV and it can clear up on its own. Just get your yearly tests done and you’ll be fine :)

HPV can lay dormant for a long time. If he had other partners before you it’s likely he got it from one of them but doesn’t mean he cheated on you.

Very possible that he ls has it and never knew about it. It’s very common among the sexually active community.

No he didn’t cheat on you. HPV is very common. My doctor compared HPV to common cold.
