Safest way to get rid of fleas during quarantine when you are heavily pregnant and have 2 toddlers (3 and 2) in the house?

Usually don't have this problem, but my normally indoor-only cat decided to pull an asshole move and run between my legs to escape the house. By the time he returned (we live in the country, so no chance he was in danger of being hit by a car), he ended up bringing back fleas. I bathed him once I realized he'd brought back fleas. But I've had to pull 3 different fleas off my kids in the past couple weeks, so I know they're in the carpets now. Not comfortable having anyone babysit because of corona, I'm also 35 weeks pregnant and my husband is on graveyard shift, so he sleeps during the day. 
What's the safest and most effective way I can get rid of the fleas under this circumstance? I've vacuumed, washed all blankets, and bathed the cat all in the same day, but still had a couple of fleas later!

Put a crap ton of iodized table salt all over the carpets, let it it sit undisturbed for 15 mins then vacume it up. Get a few little night lights and some bowls of water with dawn dish soap in them, at night put the bowls of soapy water on the floor under a nightlight and fleas will jump towards the light and fall and get trapped in the soapy water. Do it for a few nights and then a couple extra days once you dont see any fleas in the water anymore.

We had to bug bomb our house when this happened to us. It says to vacate the house for 2 hours and then open windows when you return. You could go on a drive or to the park during that. We tried EVERYTHING and nothing worked but that. Definitely put flea and tick meds on him or have him wear a flea and tick collar to prevent it and so he doesn’t get reinfested because he will! They make stuff to put on your carpets too, but you’ll have to spray the whole house. They dont just stay in one spot. Even if you find 1 flea, they’ll multiply.

As natural as I am I don’t mess with fleas. Any more natural trendy hasn’t worked in the past. I always do that terrible flea treatment on their necks. Wear gloves and put it on the cat. The fleas around the house will die off.

We used flea medicine on the cat, put the (indoor also) cat outside, used the flea bombs and went out for 3 or 4 hours, then washed all of the linen and surfaces. Our cat doesn't wander far either when he helps himself outdoors. Last time, he hung out under the porch. We got home 20 minutes early, last time, and the cat came and sat on the porch with us. He was so confused lol
