Has anyone traveled during this time? (Airline flight)

Did you feel safe while doing so? I’m desperately wanting to visit my family and go for my niece’s birthday party but not sure. I’ll be traveling with my 3 year old.

I felt as safe as I could by by wearing masks, bringing my own wipes to places and always having hand sanitizer. If you fly they aren’t allowing people (unless traveling together) to sit right next to each other so that’s another level of comfort at least it was for me.

I traveled early and in mid March and felt pretty uncomfortable. I wiped EVERYTHING, and trying find food at an airport that seemed okay wasn't worth it. I also drove from NM to OR when I no longer trusted the flights and that was uncomfortable too between gas station, public rest stops, breakfast at hotels,etc... just hard to trust stuff and you touch so many things in life. I made a big effort not to travel at all since the interstate drive.

I literally just got back from NC and I live in Hawaii. The airports are cleaning as much as they can. Everyone’s wearing masks and passing out sanitizing wipes. And flights aren’t full at all. Had rows to myself on all my flights

We canceled! I have a three year old and I’m pregnant, I have to keep them safe!

I was in the process of relocating for work when everything started shutting down, and now I’m in a different state than my doctor, so I’ve had to fly back for appts. In my experience both the airports and the planes have been super empty, and I think the planes have never been cleaner. I think it depends on where you are flying to/from though. The stories you see on the news seem to be flights between two major hubs. That said, it’s a calculated risk for sure. And I probably wouldn’t be doing it if it wasn’t necessary.

I have cancelled 3 trips, not risking my 2yo or husband or baby . 2 I was going to see my dad, but also didn't want to risk exposing him
