Gestational Diabetes Diet after Birth?

I have gestational diabetes and I was wondering, after delivery can you go back to eating as normal or do you have to stay on the Diabetes diet until your next blood sugar test at 6 weeks postpartum? Couldn’t find much info online

I had gestational diabetes 3x. The third time didn’t resolve after pregnancy, and I am now a (healthy weight, and otherwise fit) t2 diabetic. I would encourage you to maintain a healthy diabetic-friendly diet. You don’t want t2d... it sucks.

You can go back to eating normally. If you suspect type 2 diabetes then I wouldn't chow down on oreos lol but true gestational diabetes is considered cured once you deliver. I had some french toast at the hospital!
