Nobody gets to speak to me like trash. I don’t care who you are. If he doesn’t respect you now, he probably won’t have any idea what he’s lost. But it shouldn’t matter to you how he feels. You deserve to be happy :)

You walk away. As hard as it is you should never stay with someone because of children. My mother stayed with my father for the sake of having kids and it was a awful. I remember being 7 years old and praying daily that my mother walks away. No child should have to wish for their parents to get divorced so EVERYONE can be happy and stress free. Also, staying with someone abusive increases the risk your kids will continue the cycle of abuse whether they are victims or the perpetrator, it teaches them unhealthy  relationship habits, and shows its okay to treat others poorly. It can be hard to unlearn some of these behaviors. Not impossible but difficult. It took me many years to unlearn the damage my parents caused by their choices. I love my parents and I think my mom did what she thought was right. But hindsight is always 20/20. Leave now and don't look back. You and your children will be better off for it

i don’t like that “no” isnt an option, because as not just WOMEN but as PEOPLE we have the right to leave any bad situation. if you’re staying with someone that treats you like shit just for the sake of a child, hen you have little to no respect for yourself or for your child. 
i work at a preschool, there are many parents here that are separated, and they co parent just fine.
