Ever wash your diapers with regular laundry?

Is it bad for them? Or is it OK on occasion as long as the clothes aren't too soiled?

My wash routine calls for a double cycle, so I always do the 1st cycle with just the diapers & then I toss in LOs clothes for the 2nd cycle.

First wash is just diapers. For the second wash I add clothing (nothing larger than an adult t shirt) to bulk the load. My machine dies better when it's full.

I double-wash, so I will add kid clothes to the second cycle. The exception to that is if she pees through her diaper at night and I have to do her bedding, I will wash the diaper she was wearing and any spare diapers, and everything goes through the double cycle.

Nope because I pre wash and then main wash my nappies, and wash in hotwater and always have a full load

Sometimes. Every 2-3 washes I leave the diapers to dry in the sun, which keeps them from getting ammonia build up. So I usually try to wash them separately but sometimes I throw a towel or some rags or something in with them so that I’m washing a full load. Only if they’re not too soiled though.

I always bulk up the main wash with items 60cm×60cm (24"x24") or smaller so muslins, wipes, her clothes, teatowels etc as the machine needs good agitation to wash properly, underloading will lead to problems over time.
My wash routine is every other day (Candy Front Loader):
Quick Wash (59 mins) @ 60°C, all nappies, inserts, wraps with a half dose detergent and two scoops stain remover.
Main Wash (2.5-3hrs) @ 60°C, bulked as above till loosely full when dry, 2/3-3/4 when wet, full dose detergent (top loaders need a smaller load, 2/3 full when dry)
Done. Modern detergents are clean rinsing so don't build up. Lack of detergent causes far more issues!

Smaller items is ok but don’t wash with big items such as pants. They won’t agitate properly and cause diapers to not get
