15 month old autism check?

I have a 15 month old and hes always moving his fingers and making like movements like sign language but it's not. I've read that it could be a sign of autism but other than that he doesnt show any other sign of it. Has anyone else's babies or kids done this or know what it is?

Hes too young to even diagnose. Every so called developmental delay ISNT Autism.

My now 2 1/5 year old was diagnosed with autism and global developmental delay at 20 months old, but she started speech therapy at 18 months. 
Things I noticed with her were tip toe walking, spinning in circles, she did the finger movements but doesn't do it as much anymore, and then the obvious speech delay. She is just now starting to hum along with songs, but doesn't attempt to talk much if any. She also will not tell you if she's hungry or thirsty, she would go all day not drinking and she will get herself to the point of hunger pains when she is hungry.
If you are concerned I would talk to your kiddo's pediatrician, they may be able to point you in the right direction.

There are many signs of autism, like rocking, lack of speech is usually the first sign of autism, my nephew was born both blind and autistic, he’s 17 now, but I knew immediately. No one ever told me what to do with him, it just came naturally. I raised other peoples kids since I was little. We taught him at home, everything to music. My go to song was ring around the Rosie. So it was cleaning up the baby, cleaning up the baby, cleaning up, cleaning up, cleaning up the baby. Music is the best way to learn anything. From a language or memorizing notes. I still remember the days of the week in French from 30 years ago because we did it to the turn of row row row your boat. Patient is a big one. Gluten free diet helps. Consistency is a big one and routine. They tend to stem, aka melt down, when they aren’t on schedule or have a substitute teacher or something they aren’t used to. A lot of patient. There are so many therapies that can be helpful and getting on it early. I have a another nephew that is autistic. It’s so minimal now and he’s on the honor roll every semester. I hope things get better.

I can be but it can also be very normal in children that age. My son had an autism screen at 18 months (not sure where you're from) because my state does mandatory screenings at well-check appts.
