So in March we did our first transfer. On the follow-up, my hCG showed that it didn’t take. We were devastated.

And worse, people have opinions about it. Saying things like “it wasn’t a miscarriage.”

It’s a loss and it hurts. My egg was fertilized and it was inside of me. Why do I need to meet specific criteria to be considered “a loss.”

No matter how hard we tried to be cautious, we couldn’t help being excited. To us, we were pregnant. If even for just a brief moment. It still broke my heart.

Just needed to vent. Starting my second round this week 💙
