Bloody show or???

Ok so this is gonna be gross but I’m gonna be completely honest because I don’t know what to do. So I’m 34 (almost 35) weeks along. My hubby and I were having intercourse this morning. And I started bleeding. It stopped and I have some back pain. But I don’t know if it was just my cervix thinning or if it’s the bloody show. I called my doctor and they said just rest and wait and if I get contractions or more bleeding, then head to the hospital. Has anyone had this happen before to them? If so, did your baby get here days or weeks or even hours after?
