More than one child?

Question

What do you ladies think. I’m having a hard time deciding if I want another baby in the future. My pregnancy was rough, and so was the fourth trimester. I’m an only child, but my husband has four siblings, and I wish I had that bond with someone. Tell me your stories of going from one child to two+ ❤️❤️❤️

My two boys are two years apart and have this wonderful bond. It’s not always easy but I love seeing how much they love and care about each other. There really is no right or wrong. Take time and think about what is best for you and your husband.

Going from 1 to 2 was actually a lot easier than I had expected. My kids are 22 months apart and my 2 year old loves his baby sister. It can be challenging when my baby needs to eat and at the same time my toddler is having a complete meltdown, but those moments are rare. I also got really lucky bc my second one is so much easier than my first was. She’s really relaxed and just overall a good baby. For us it was very important for our kids to have siblings. I have a brother and sister and we are super close, while my husband was essentially an only child with only half siblings who were at least 13 years older than him. He sees how me and my siblings are together and he wanted that for our kids as well.

My first the delivery was traumatic and then he was diagnosed with ADHD so the toddler years were tough and we thought for a long time we would just have him but he is 5 now and we just had our second and he has done so well with a sibling. The timing just felt right. My brother and I are 7 years apart and my husband and his sister are 6 years apart and we both have good relationships with our siblings. We just waited until the timing felt right.

It’s obviously more work with two but the sweet moments between them already make it so worth it. My daughter just turned 3 and my son is 3 months. She comforts him by saying “it’s okay baby, I’m here” and he gets a huge smile on his face whenever he sees her. I also feel comfort knowing that they’ll have each other long after me and my husband pass away.
