Did or Is your doc letting you use skittles, jelly beans, etc instead of the drink?

They need to give you a liquid they can control, they cant control how much sugar your actually getting with anything else. Thats why you drink the nasty liquid

I kind of think they have to give you a high sugar but controlled dosage of the drink. They can not control the measures or all ingridients in candy.
Also, anything in liquid firm absorbs faster, so with candy, test probably has to be longer.

No, but I hate the artificial flavor/color, so found out I could request one called “simply pure” by Azure, who also makes the flavored ones.  Unfortunately, it’s still GMO like the rest, but still better with only 3 ingredients.

My obgyn for my first pregnancy and this one let me do a drink of my choice that is fruit juice with 50 grams of sugar! I would never drink something like that glucose drink not pregnant so I’m definitely not going to do it while pregnant. Now this is to say I am a healthy person and have a normal healthy pregnancy, if you are at a greater risk especially for diabetes then I would say you should lean towards the drink.

I was uncomfortable about the chemical drink comments I see so was seeing the likelihood of it even being a possibility with my doc for a substitution. There is one doc around here that allows jelly beans and a finger prick rather than the 1 hour drink test but looks like I’ll probably just suck it up and do the drink

I know some women who have used juice, but never candy. I also know of people who opted out of the test completely and tracked their own numbers for a few weeks.
