Easy??! But it’s the hardest shit ever?! I can’t get my baby to latch

It’s so hard! I cried many tears my first baby...was able to breastfeed 17 months though. If you can get through the hard months it is soooo worth it!! Try brushing your nipple on the bottom lip and when they open their mouth basically shove their face on it.

I was definitely not prepared for how hard breastfeeding would be. I would be lying if I said I didn’t want to give up at times, but you got this mama!

Feeling the same way! I can’t get him latched by myself because he flails all over the place and if I try to swaddle him first he falls asleep.

Lactation consultants seriously deserve a special place in heaven. Seeing one each time after my daughters were born was an unbelievable experience. Most recently just last week. 
Breastfeeding is very difficult and emotional. Keep up the good work mamas!

It is way too hard. This is my third baby, and despite all three latching fine i can not breast feed for long because of terrible nipple pain that just grows worse by the week untill my whole body is in pain. Currently pumping instead...*sigh*

The lactation consultant at the hospital i delivered at told me to lightly rub my nipple from baby's nose to his lips and once he opens his mouth wide just shove his face onto the nipple. My little man flails a lot when I get ready to nurse and I have to either have my husband hold his arms down or I just try and do it myself.

I couldn’t get him to latch so i reached out to a lactation consultant. Turns out i need a nipple shield.  Is he feeds like a champ!
