Induction without epidural?

Question

Any mommas who were induced have experience getting an induction without the epidural? I know my doctor said contractions can feel more intense and excessive when being induced but epidural free is still 100% possible. I’d love to hear induction stories in general!!! I’m very nervous for mine tomorrow FTM 💗

I did it and I will choose to not get an epidural again if I have to be induced again. Focus on breathing, stay calm and keep a level head and all will be fine. I labored for almost 10 hours once my 12 hour stint was up with softening my cervix and it was definitely doable

I was induced but didn’t feel any of my contractions until they broke my water 10 hours later. That’s when I got the epidural. It was amazing... but it made it really hard to figure out when I was having a contraction when it was time to push and I feel that my pushing and contractions were not in sync.

If I got induced with the pessary I would’ve been able to cope with just gas and air because initially I did get started off on the pessary but I was getting fast contractions but lasting short periods of time so the doctor wanted the medication taken out incase the fast contractions distressed baby. I was hooked up to the IV drip of oxytocin and my contractions went from bareable to painful quickly back to back and all I could do was moan loudly and squirm. I got induced at 6 30 with having my waters broken first then one messed up cannula fitting later I was hooked up to a drip. At 9 30 I got the epidural and that made me more relaxed and progressed my labour faster. I was checked at 12am and I was a 10. I was allowed to start pushing at 1 15am and she was born at 1 21am in 3 pushes in 6 minutes. It was great.

They broke my water and I was in labor an hour later.. and I didn’t get the epidural for another hour after that!

It sucked. lol I was given pitocin for pre eclampsia at 37 weeks. I started the drip at 5am and was already 3cm before then. It was totally manageable from there to 6cm.
By 8cm however, I asked for the epidural and was loosing my mind. The pain was incredible, I tried breathing but all I could do was moan loudly/yell. 
It was too late for the epidural and my body had already started to push on it’s own. I wish I would have known that the worst pain would only last 30 minutes, but it was so scary.
After 4 pushes my baby boy was out. The whole induction was 4 hours and 48 minutes, from iv hook up to holding baby.

I think if it went quick It would be a different story, for me anyway. I was on petocin for 18hours before I asked for the epidural, it’s very tiring being in hard labour for so long. For me it was more about exhaustion then pain (though pain was not great obviously)

I was induced. As soon as my contractions started they were one & a half minutes apart. I got an epidural shortly after LOL I’m glad I got it because I didn’t have my son until the next day, they had to put a balloon in my vagina to start dilating me (weird right) anywayyyyssss fuck that I’m happy I got it! People say it makes your baby high or totally drugged out when they’re born which it total BS. My son was perfectly fine when he came out & still is 19 weeks later💗 I was inducted at 37 weeks(:

Yep 3 times ... labor is
Faster without the epidural and as long as ur mentally prepared it’s really not terrible it takes focus and determination but it’s def not bad at all and u can literally shower right after delivery which is nice
