Lump in armpit?

Question

Can deodorant/antiperspirants cause lumps under arm? I’ve recently about a month or more started using solid BAN deodorant, I noticed a weird pain under my arm wasn’t severe or anything but I could’ve felt it certain times or movements or by touch . I now feel a small lump about the size of a nickel. Anyone ever experienced this? Also I do shave under my arms regularly

It could absolutely be an ingrown hair. I get them very infrequently after shaving my underarms. But if you want peace of mind see a doctor

They sure can. Eventually they’ll go away but they do hurt like hell. Maybe you should go to the doctor... I don’t wanna give you false hope that it’s Nothing major

It’s probably a swollen lymph node, mine swell periodically for seemingly no reason at all.

Yes they can. I get them. I normally just pop it and it goes away.

Could be due to shaving/ irritation. Add some warm compress to help it go down. I had one a while back and it went away after a while. If not consult with your doc.

The aluminum from antiperspirants can absolutely cause cysts, it happened to me. Just a small marble sized lump under my armpit but it hurt like a bitch so I went to the doctor. I was using clinical strength Dove because I also have hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating.) You can use warm moist compresses to help it go away but most important is to switch to an aluminum-free deodorant - I now only use Native (Target or online.)
