Personality Question

Lauren

My son is 9.5 months, and I’m having a lot of feelings regarding the fact that he’s never liked to cuddle, and he has never shown signs of clinginess or separation anxiety. He seems pretty independent. Every other baby I’ve cared for has seemed to favor their main caregivers, but he doesn’t care who’s hanging with him. Is this more of a personality trait or could it be indicative of autism spectrum disorder?

He’s a very happy baby and will smile and laugh with us. He calms down when we try to comfort him. Honestly, he seems STABLE, haha, I was just anticipating more neediness and wanting to be held I guess.

Can anyone share some insights?
