What do prunes taste like? Do they really help with constipation?

As embarrassing as this is, I’m experiencing some awful constipation. I’m experiencing a lot of stress and I haven’t been eating right which is affecting my digestive system. It’s very difficult to pass stool. I’d like to try prunes but I’m afraid of how they may taste. I dislike dates but I really like plums. Do you think I will like them? Normally I’d eat them anyway but with first trimester morning sickness, I’m nervous to. Also would I just eat a serving size?
