All lives matter
I know it’s a touchy subject but will somebody please (kindly) explain to me why saying “all lives matter” is such a problem? I am mixed African American and white. I have experienced racism throughout my life and I understand the outrage with the injustice towards the black community. But it angers me slightly when I see things that say “delete me if you say all lives matter”. Do they not? What about the Hispanics who are locked in cages for being immigrants. Or the Asians who have been blamed for this whole pandemic. Or the Native Americans who’ve had their land striped from them and are never talked about. Or the white people who are not a minority in this country but still manage to stay optimistic. I 100% understand that there are exceptions to every rule. There are horrible people in all races, but I refuse to believe that one group is the only one with hardships and injustices.
**Update**
Thank you everyone who decide to educate instead of criticize. It is important to recognize ignorance from stupidity. I understand now why saying all lives matter in response to black lives matter could be taken to dimish the movement which is the furthest thing from what I was trying to do. I apologize if I offended anyone.
