Those with Gestational diabetes on insulin/metformin please help
At 31+5 I had my growth scan because I have gestational diabetes which hasn't been able to control for about 6wks and a month being on insulin and metformin and there upping the insulin every 3-4 days but still no change... she was measuring at 37wks in the 97% at 5 lbs 7 oz. And the NP didn't seem one bit concerned. I'm already on the high risk side! She said just cause shes larger isn't grounds for an earlier induction before 39wks unless something else is wrong like high blood pressure or baby is stressed. My biggest vaginal was 10 lbs 6.5 oz (my 7th baby) and her shoulders got stuck and another vaginal my 1st was 9 lbs 5 oz he was also stuck and I had 1 csection with another baby for breached (he was 9 lbs 8 oz) and I had a horrible experience feeling everything during surgery and had to quickly be put to sleep and I explain to her this of not wanting another csection..she says..you'll have another growth scan in a month and we will just see then. I'm by no means rushing my baby at all! But I'm petrified of stillbirth (I already had to bury 1 baby at 24wks born sleeping from PPROM) I can't bury another. I'm worried about her being 10+ pounds or her shoulders getting stuck! I don't understand why they can't check her lung maturity at 37-38wks (I'd be 37+5 at that next appointment if they did check) she was already 3 lbs 2 oz at 27+5 93% a month ago and said I could be induced at 39wks BUT I feel they need to start being more concerned 😟. I'm seeing ladies with the same issues and already talking about an earlier induction at 37-38wks. But for me there not concerned at all. I remember them clearly telling me back a few months ago when Diagnosed with gestational diabetes at 16wks that any baby in 90s% percentile especially over 95% was a concern especially 9 weeks before actual due date. I'm beyond stressed 😫...I have an appointment on Friday at 32+5 for a office visit and stress test I never see the same NP usually so How do I go by asking for a 2nd opinion or my concerns?
