Update loosing mucus plug

So I posted this morning I thought I lost my mucus plus when I went in the check to see if I was dilated and having contractions I was not having contractions but when she check me she said that my cervix wasn’t as long and that I’m 1 -2 wide in length but internally not dilation . I’m not sure what to think or what they means not she didn’t really explain much to me were it made since “:// anyone had this problem or knows ?? Lmk please I’m 27 weeks pregnant she also said it probably was my mucus plug but didn’t say definitely I would think somehow they would known?
