Expired pregnancy test

Anyone have any experience with an expired pregnancy test? I took one today from ones i had when we were trying for #1 and didn’t realize the expiration date. It was BFN.

The date said Jan 2020 and now it’s about 6 months later. I’ve heard it makes them less sensitive. Did anyone ever get a BFN on one and then test with an accurate one that turned out positive. AF is due in few days
