When should I go for first prenatal appointment?

Right now I’m scheduled for week 9, but I’d rather wait until week 12 as I am not comfortable with a transvaginal ultrasound so early and I know the risk of you know what is still there. I’m generally healthy. I only have herpes simplex 1, the cold sore kind... ( still stresses me out, but it is what it is) This is my first pregnancy and I’ve had no prior complications. Is it ok to schedule my first prenatal visit at week 12? They can likely do an abdominal ultrasound and the risk drops for you know what. I’d really appreciate any guidance from mamas who went through this before. Thank you!!
