Major heartburn mean lots of hair?

I really hope so. I would feel better knowing all this heartburn wasn’t for nothing. I want my baby to have a lot of hair.

Not necessarily. And just because they were born with hair doesn't mean they will keep it either. I had heartburn with both of mine and they had a good head of hair. But they both were completely bald by 2 months old and it took a while for them to get it back. One of them didn't need a first haircut until 15 months and the other didn't need one until 13 months.

I was actually told by an L&D/birth educator that there is some truth behind that wives tale... that the hormone that loosens your ligaments and therefore the flap that keeps you from having acid relux/heartburn, also helps with hair growth... 🤷🏼‍♀️

One of few that old wives tales that is actually backed up by statistics. There IS a correlation although it’s not a guarantee.

They've actually done studies on this and have found a strong correlation between heartburn and babies having lots of hair. They think the same hormone that makes your spincter relax in your stomach also affects the hair growth in the baby.

That's just a fun little wives tale. 1st baby never had heartburn he had hair. Not a full head full but he did have quite a bit. My 2nd baby I had heartburn so bad that it constantly made me vomit. That girly was bald until she was 2! But my 3rd baby I also had a good amount of heartburn and he had a nice amount of hair at birth. This one I have heart burn off and on. Not too often. I cant wait to see if he has hair or not😍

When I was pregnant with my first I had tons of heartburn and she came out with barley any hair. This time I’ve had heartburn here and there and supposedly he has tons. It’s definitely a myth in my book!!!!

I had lots of heartburn and indigestion and at our last ultrasound they saw tons of hair on his little head. They did tell me that he could lose it before he’s born but since it’s so close to the end and it’s all still there that he’ll more than likely keep all of it! I have no idea if the 2 are correlated or if it’s just coincidence though haha!
