When is considered the safe zone?

Ok so I have my first ultrasound on June 16th to check to see if babies heart is beating. If Hurd a lot of stories about how just cause the heart is beating doesn’t mean your safe. I don’t want to get to excited but I already know I will. Anyways what’s considered safe to celebrate and Tell people we are pregnant. I’m literally so worried about miscarriage it’s unreal

Unfortunately there is no “age zone”. This is coming from someone who’s had multiple losses along with knowing others who had losses and multiple stages. Sadly anything can happen at anytime. It’s less likely the further along you are but it can still happen nonetheless.

Many wait until they hit the second trimester before telling people. It’s whenever you feel ready! I totally understand the worry. Hate to tell you- it will not go away! You will worry the entire pregnancy. For me, pregnancy was so amazing -but I was also always so paranoid and worried it’s insane. Even further along- I was even more worried.  When I found out I was being induced at 37 weeks I was so happy!! I just wanted her out. But the worry continues. Lol, I understand now when people would tell me ~welcome to Motherhood. You worry from day 1.

We’re announcing at 8 weeks, this has been a long journey and I’ve shared our IVF cycle publicly for everyone to follow so I figure as long as everything’s looking good at 8 weeks we’re going to let everyone that’s been following our journey know.

I feel the same way. I’m anxious of losing my baby. I have my first ultrasound on Monday as well as bloodwork and I can’t wait for it. I just want to know everything’s ok. We’ve decided to tell our parents at eight weeks and everyone else at 12-13 weeks.

It you wait until like 12-13 weeks...chances drop below 1% as long as everything else was looking nice and low risk to that point.

Dont worry and stress . Stay positive.  I think usually after 12 weeks ladies feel safer and pregnancy stable to share the news.. and after NIPT test if you see planning to do it.

2nd trimester (after 12 weeks) is usually the safe zone, although my dr told me after 8 weeks is usually safe as well. For my first pregnancy I told my parents, sister, and best friend when I was around 8 weeks because I figured I would want their comfort if I had a miscarriage, but waited to announce on social media until I was around 36 weeks because I was so paranoid my entire pregnancy!
