We've got a big lounge area, it's about 6x6m.

On the one side we have our lounge and the other side by the windows, out African Greys.

Our one has gotten into a HORRIBLE habit of letting out this extremely loud and high picked shriek for attention. I don't give it to him but he really hurts my ears because it's not just loud by himself, but the room also echoes because it's a bit empty on that side (other than the cafes and one cabinet).

How can I stop the room from echoing so much? We have a carpet on the lounge side, I can't on the bird side because they'll just ruin it.

Any other suggestions?
