Birth control advice

I need help. I’ve been on nexoplanan for almost a year now and my periods have been super long and inconsistent. Other than that I’ve been good on this option but the periods worry me.

Are there other options that would help me?

I can’t be on a pill cuz my schedule is too crazy and I forget to take it and the last pill I was on caused my estrogen levels to go crazy high and my body faked a miscarriage.

I’ve heard of the IUD being good but I’m not sure how it works?

Would it be best for me to just stick with what I have considering the only down side is the periods being long? (I’m talking 2.5 weeks straight with a week to two weeks without bleeding in between periods)
