Painful or not?

Is having a sweep done painful, or more uncomfortable?? I don’t think normal cervical checks hurt, if that gives you an idea of my pain tolerance.

I guess like anything it depends who does it, I had one Tuesday and it was pretty brutal made me pull away and grit my teeth hard, but the one I had today I hardly felt. 
But even the one Tuesday is nothing comparable to actual labour pain wise, and it takes like a minute to do, labour doesn’t it’s a lot longer 🙈  xxx

It really depends on who does it. The first one I had done didn’t hurt at all the second one that I had done was painful but it worked and sent me into labour. Both were done by different doctors

I had my first sweep done last Tuesday! I was already 2cm dilated and it didn’t hurt me! But the cervical checks don’t hurt me either. The sweep just felt like a little more pressure to me! I’m having another one done on Tuesday since it’s my last appt before my induction!

Ehh it hurts a little and it’s uncomfortable 😣 but not awful

It depends on your doctor/midwife. Some are beasts with it and make it very painful, while others are gentle and you barely even feel uncomfortable. I had a doctor/consultant do one with my son and it was agony but it worked. I'm hoping this time round I can get it done by my midwife and she's more gentle.

If you don’t think Norma cervix checks hurt you won’t find it painful at all.

Normal checks don’t hurt me but the sweeps hurt!  Take a deep breath Nd breathe thru it

It was painful to me the first time I had it. I'm undecided if I should do it again for this pregnancy, cuz all I rememeber was being in so much discomfort. And my husband cant even be there this time to hold my hand😢
