When did/will you let baby sleep with a lovey?

My oldest sleeps with a silk scarf thing my mom gave him one night when we couldn't find his blanket. He was about 4 months. He still sleeps with it and he's 3 :)

When we ‘sleep trained’ our son at 5 months. 
He has a small raccoon thing my husband bought him. It’s actually really cute but I’ve always thought they were stupid. It helps him fall asleep. 
It isn’t scary for us because we have a video monitor and he actually pushes it away before he falls asleep. We move it to the corner of his bed. If he does have it close to his face when he falls asleep, we move it away.

We were strict with nothing in the crib until 12month. She's never attached to a lovely but started bringing a stuffed animal into bed around 15-18m.
