Might Be Allergic to Pad?

Hey everyone so this is something I think i might have discovered, an allergy  to always foam pads and I recently caught on! My sister likes those and everytime I wear them I feel like my skin burns and I get itchy, and my clit gets swollen. It’s the worst feeling! I thought I had an STD and went to go check but I turned out negative syphilis and other things I can’t remember(it was 6 months ago). Then I thought it was my detergent or fabric softener but I changed it(been trying new ones since 3 months ago)and I still had a rash, but now it all makes sense!!! Every time i get my period my rash is healing then i wear a pad and makes it worst! WTF I’m so upset :( Imma switch up to organic products. What are some that you recommend?

This exact thing happened to me a few years ago. It was so bad, that l dreaded getting my period each month because the irritation was so unbearable and uncomfortable. I was trying different pads from Always and UByKotex when l decided to switch to an organic cotton line and l have not had any issues since these past six years. The brand is called “L.” and you can purchase it at Target. Side note, l also love buying products from this company because they give menstrual products to girls and women in need.

Same thing was happened to me.. and I was using the name brand like “always” and “stayfree” pads. I switched to the “off brand” store brands like Equate and I’ve had no more problems.

Personally, I had similar symptoms which is why I’m commenting. I tried organic products, reusable pads, whatever. They didn’t work for me. At all. What it ended up being was the moisture from a wet pad that was causing my issue. I’d have had to change my pad every hour in order to avoid the rash, swelling and pain. And that’s just not going to work for anyone really. I ended up switching to tampons and never had a problem and later I found the cup and now use that. 
It definitely could be the brand that’s irritating you or something in all disposable pads. You don’t know till you try really. But, if it keeps happening no matter what you try I suggest looking into the cup or tampons as you could have the same issue as I did.
