Flirting?

My boyfriend and I have been long distance for a few months (but have been dating for 2.5 years) since the pandemic hit and it’s very new for us. We are both in college and went to the same school so we spent a lot of time together. Now that we are long distance he recently admitted to me that he’s upset with me because I don’t flirt with him.

I don’t know if anyone else is like this, but I am just not a flirty person? I guess it’s easier for me to be flirty in person when you can touch snd actually hear s persona voice and body language. When I flirt I just act like myself. I don’t try to do anything that isn’t me because I like to be authentic, what you see is what you get. But it can’t shake this feeling I have. He told me yesterday after I told him (and I’ve told him this before) I’m not a flirty person I’m just myself. He said “well I’ve just given up and stopped trying to be flirty” because I guess I’m not flirty enough?

Not sure if anyone else his this problem. If so let me know! Or any tips would be great. Thanks!
