Allergic to Tampon?

I’ve been using tampons for years now, never had any problems. Yesterday I bought some dollar general brand ones? Never used them before, but ever since they have been making my vagina itch like crazy and burn. Is this normal? Thanks!

Sounds like a yeast infection, or at least irritation due to an ingredient in the tampon. They weren’t scented, right? Tampons can have bleach and other chemicals in them aside from just cotton. If you’re going to use them, I recommend a type that has natural ingredients. They have multiple great brands out there.
Personally, I can’t use tampons without getting yeast infections, so I switched to Flex discs and haven’t had a problem since.

Tampons have a lot of crap in them I don’t like putting in me... They were probably cheaply made and that made it worse. I prefer to use a cup.

Not normal. I had an allergic reaction to a brand of pads and it caused a yeast infection. I woyld discontinue using them right away and hopefully the itching stops as well.

No. Either something in the tampon is giving you issues or you got a yeast infection

Probably because they’re cheaply made and the cotton probably is low quality. I would give your vagina a break from them and use pads  until the itching goes away, and then use the tampons your normally use.
