That could be potentially dangerous, bulb fires are a thing. Keeping your lamp on 8+ hours could cause it to over heat and could raise your power bill too.

Who said no....if your bill is high, lower it by turning off unnecessary power suckers, like a lamp that doesn't need to be on for hours when you're sleeping. If you need light while you sleep invest in a battery powered table light, even an led plug in night light would work better than having a lamp on for hours. I have a battery powered S-shaped light on my night table that turns on automatically at a certain time or manually and it turns off after a few hours. My room gets too dark and I dont want to trip over my dogs
