My daughter is 2 yrs 9 months old.

She has been a little behind with things such as speech and didn't walk until 18 months.

I just decided to give potty training a try.

I did the bare butt method and we are on day 3.

On day 1, she did 4 pees and a poop on the floor and the rest in the potty.

Day 2 (yesterday), she did all her pees and one poop in the potty. I did a diaper for nap time and she did pee and poop in there as well, which is fine I don't think she is ready for nap/night potty training yet. No accidents though.

My problem is she doesn't really know how to pull her pants down so I found a really loose fitting pj pants that she can get down. I'm showing her what to do with that now but when she had undies on today and she sat on the potty and pee'd through them.

She didn't seem to mind she was wet until I asked and she got upset. I reassured her it was okay and gently reminded her that we have to take them off to pee. But she asked me to just keep them off so she's bare again.

I don't want to undo everything I've done so far but this is making me second guess if she's ready. She's able to hold her pee run down the hall to the playroom (where she herself carried her potty to) and get on the potty in time

How do i teach her just because she is wearing a bottom that she doesn't go in it snd still goes on the potty? Seems like every time I try to add a bottom she goes in those instead (I used a pull up for meals so she could just eat and both times she peed in them. Didn't say anything which is why I thought regular undies might work better so she could feel the wetness? But she didn't see to mind being wet)
